About

The Los Osos Pickleball Community has grown from a few people playing twice a week to many more players playing daily. We play at the Los Osos Community Park courts located at 2180 Palisades Avenue. There are four painted dual-use pickleball courts with portable nets available. Twelve to twenty-plus players enjoy our open play sessions each day.

Our focus is fun. We believe pickleball is more than just a sport. It's a social activity that fosters friendships and builds a stronger sense of community. We believe the camaraderie and fellowship on our courts in Los Osos is special.

Pickleball is easy to learn, making it a great activity for families, seniors, children and everyone in between. We provide open-play times daily, balls and loaner paddles are available for use. Please check the link to our current schedule. We welcome players of all ages and abilities.

Mission

The Los Osos Pickleball Community, Inc. (LOPC) is a 501c3 nonprofit community-based organization whose mission is to build a significantly healthier, more vibrant and active community by increasing involvement in the sport of pickleball, through education, advocacy and participation.

Code of Conduct

Facilities and Equipment

• Help to keep the courts and surrounding area as clean as possible.

•Treat the nets and all shared equipment with reasonable care to avoid unnecessary damage.

Sportsmanship and Behavior

• It is everyone’s responsibility to make new players feel welcome and to help them learn the game.

• Avoid overly aggressive play towards beginner or lower skill level players; consider tailoring your play to the levels of your opponents.

• Always exhibit good sportsmanship. Encourage others to do the same.

• Be considerate of others in your on and off court communication. Avoid shouting or verbal outbursts. • Avoid the use of profanity on or around the courts.

• Avoid walking behind, beside, or entering a court while a Pickleball or Tennis rally is in progress.

• Members may report any incidents of misconduct or code violations to any Board Member of LOPC
